For all financial planning, strategy and investment related advice, we work on a fixed fee basis where any advice proposal is determined by your specific needs through a fair and consistent pricing methodology. More on our pricing here.
For any insurance advice we provide, we may be remunerated by way of a commission through any life insurer we recommend. We get that directly asking a financial adviser if your money is safe with them is a bit like asking your barber whether you should get a haircut. That’s why we encourage you to take your time and run due diligence before engaging with any financial advice practice. A great place to start is ASIC’s MoneySmart Financial Advice Page, Financial advice – Moneysmart.gov.au. ASIC is Australia’s financial advice regulator, who oversees the licensing and supervision of all retail financial advisers in Australia. Their consumer website provides an objective and comprehensive list of things to consider, in addition to questions to ask a financial adviser. Once you have done some research, we encourage you to meet with a number of advice firms to get a feel for their services, track record and culture to see if they are the right fit for you.
We agree with MoneySmart in that all reputable financial advice firms should have the following:

Whilst financial advice is one of the most heavily regulated industries in Australia (for good reason) and there are many checks and balances to safeguard clients’ money, it is not failsafe. Plus, unscrupulous operators do exist, like in all industries and professions. At Falcon, our business model is fundamentally built on the premise that client trust is our biggest asset and that we can only succeed (and be paid) if we demonstrably meet your best interests and improve your financial wellbeing. That’s why we take our legal, ethical and professional obligations very seriously to foster a culture of excellence and client first principles. We hope that through our consistent efforts, we can be a trusted firm to partner with you.
Not at all. Should we identify it to be beneficial for you to work with us on an ongoing basis and upon accepting an Ongoing Service Agreement, you have the right to end your agreement any time. In fact, for any agreed ongoing service retainer, we legally need your written and informed consent to maintain such arrangements every 12 months. This places the onus on us to ensure we are continually adding value to your situation for the services we provide and keeping you on track with your long-term goals, ensuring you want to remain a client.
Whilst we ideally aim to work with all of our ongoing clients for the long term, we understand that changes in circumstances mean such arrangements may no longer be necessary or required. That’s why we will support and facilitate any exit once the decision has been made. If you have paid an annual retainer upfront in full, you will also receive a pro-rated refund from the date of termination up to your anniversary date.
It is for this very reason that Falcon Financial Advisers will provide a consistent level of effort, attention and focus to all clients, new and existing. Whilst we are a growing business, and welcoming new individuals and families, you can be comfortable in the knowledge we will never forget our existing long term loyal clients, which can unfortunately happen in larger institutions like banks and insurance companies.
We have offices in Balgowlah Northern Beaches, Dee Why Northern Beaches and Newcastle. However, because our work can be done remotely, we can provide advice no matter where you’re located in Australia.
Falcon Financial Advisers services clients all over Australia. Whilst we love meeting our clients face to face and are also prepared to travel to meet you, we are fully equipped to host remote meetings over Zoom or Microsoft Teams and successfully do this with many of our clients.
